I am trying to set up a video chat or video mail that I can use with my daughters here and abroad please help

Yes you can do it easily.Number of software available on net.I prefer.

You need two things,
A webcam, and a video enabled chat software such as Yahoo Messenger or Skype Messenger.
Create either an account with Yahoo or Skype, it’s 100% free, install the software, plug in your webcam, add each other (you and your daughters/family) as buddies and whenever you’re online you could webcam chat, free, and easy.

Skype is a pretty good program for video chat, as well as, for free or low cost internet conference calls.
Another really good program for video chat is Oovoo. I’ve found that the video is much more smoother with Oovoo.
