What’s the lowest bandwidth using Video Conference method? I have ooVoo running and I use 2 VOIP phones on Cab?

Misses M asked:

I have Time warner residential cable where I have two vonage VOIP lines. And I run ooVoo for video conferencing.

I am having chopping voice on all 3 lines if I use them at the same time. Or even if I just ooVoo and use 1 VOIP line. Is there a way to solve this?

Can this be addressed by CPU? using better compression of my video before hitting the net? Or Are there video conference software that uses less bandwidth? Or should I just upgrade my internet connection to get more speed?

there is something called quality of service (QOS) where it gives priorities to certain applications or traffic above other traffic… for example you can allocate 70% of your bandwidth for your voice traffic… so this way you will guarantee that no matter how your network is converged or busy your voice traffic wont be affected…
voice traffic always comes in the first place usually between 60- 70 % of the bandwidth is allocated for voice…. for video you could give it 25 – 35% conferencing

you need to get a better connection as you didn’t say what yours is I’d suggest 3 gb that should be more than enough
